Principle of Activities
Finnish Health Association functions as a voluntary non-governmental organization for the promotion of health. It supports the individual's ability to improve his/her grip on life, attempts to prevent smoking and drug abuse and encourages the development of a healthy living environment and safe traffic.
Lively Regional and Local
ActivitiesFinnish Health Association is close to you. In the local organizations and activity groups you can actively promote health. We organize, among other things, education, events, experiences.
Each local area has its own secretary, who serves the members of the specific region by planning, supporting and developing the activities.
A Wide Range of Education and Activities
Finnish Health Association plans and organizes a wide range of education. Education is offered to social workers and those working in the healthcare sector as well as people working within the public education system.
Publishing Activities
Finnish Health Association publishes material on health education. Health Association's Magazine is published six times a year.
International Cooperation
The aim of the international cooperation is to influence the formation of the European alcohol politics and simultaneously look for partners for different projects. The aim is to participate and exchange experiences as well as cooperate with other organizations in the area of health promotion on the European level.
Safe Traffic
The aim of the Safe Traffic program is to support and train the individual to influence his/her own safety and the safety of others in traffic.
The program includes different courses and events:

Sober Driver course
Finances
Finnish Health Association finances its activities with the help of RAY (Finland's Slot Machine Association) and with its own fundraising.
Administration
Finnish Health Association's general meeting is hold twice every year. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Finnish Health Association is professor Kerttu Tossavainen.
